Project
- Ergonomics processes were stale and there was little motivation from EHS team or end users to engage in solutions
EHS team felt overwhelmed with idea of risk scoring hundreds of tasks without a plan for solutions
An ergonomics kaizen event was planned to drive employee engagement and quick fix solutions for known high risk tasks.
Progress
- A and B teams each participated in a daily 4- hour kaizen event over 3 days
- Time was spent in classroom and Gemba to identify risk, score tasks, get employee feedback and test solutions
The last 2 hours of day 3 was a report out to management on fully developed projects for risk assessment, solutions, cost, time, resources and ROI
